When it makes sense

The files keep moving. Someone has to hold them.

Interim cover is the right answer when the work is there today and the person is not.

◆

A vacancy that takes months

Senior public affairs profiles are hard to find. While the search runs, consultations close, votes happen and relationships cool down.

◆

Leave or a sudden departure

Parental leave, illness or a resignation leaves live files without an owner. We take them over with a structured handover, not a guess.

◆

A first real policy exposure

A proposal suddenly touches your business and nobody in-house owns the relationship with the institutions yet. We cover the seat while you decide how to staff it.

What you get

A senior lead, with a team and tools behind them.

One named consultant acts as your interim lead, backed by the Publicea partners and our dynamic monitoring dashboard.

01

Continuity on live files

We pick up every open dossier, deadline and commitment, and keep your positions consistent with what was said before.

02

Representation

Meetings and written input towards the European institutions, federal and regional cabinets, administrations and regulators — in English, Dutch and French.

03

Monitoring from week one

Your files go into a dynamic dashboard with weekly AI-supported screening and consultant review, so nothing slips while the seat changes hands.

04

Internal reporting

Briefings for management and for the experts in your business, at the rhythm you already use — or one we set up together.

05

Federations & coalitions

We represent you in sector federations and working groups, and keep the alliances you rely on active.

06

A clean handover

Your permanent hire inherits a documented file register, stakeholder map and history — and we introduce them to the key contacts.

How it works

From intake to handover.

A fixed structure, so you always know where the seat stands.

01

Intake

In the first days we agree which files are live, what must not slip, who your counterparts are and how you want to be kept informed.

02

Set-up

Your dossiers, deadlines and stakeholders go into your dashboard, and we introduce ourselves to the contacts that matter.

03

Running the seat

We work an agreed number of days per week or month, with a fixed reporting rhythm and one point of contact.

04

Handover

When your new colleague starts, we hand over the register, the stakeholder map and the open actions, and remain available during the transition.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can you start?

As soon as the scope is agreed. The first weeks combine intake with setting up monitoring, so your files are covered while we get to know your organisation.

How is interim work priced?

On a daily rate or a monthly fee, agreed up front — transparent, with no hidden costs. Our general conditions apply, including a two-month notice period on daily-rate work.

Do you replace our permanent hire?

No. We hold the seat until your hire is in place and make sure they start with a complete picture. Ongoing support afterwards — for the Belgian layer or for monitoring — is a separate choice.

Can you work alongside our existing EU affairs team?

Yes. We can add capacity during a peak, take over specific files, or — if you are active in Belgium — cover the federal and regional layer. We fit into the team you have.

How do you handle conflicts of interest?

We check for conflicts before we start and disclose any actual or potential conflict promptly, as set out in our general conditions.

Need someone in the seat next month?

Tell us which files are live and when your hire is expected. We will propose how to cover the gap.
